Talespinner Children’s Theatre Seeks New Executive Artistic Director to Lead Organization into Its 10th Year Serving Northeast Ohio
Talespinner Children’s Theatre is embarking on its tenth year serving the Gordon Square Arts District and surrounding Northeast Ohio community, and seeks a dynamic Executive Artistic Director to bring the organization into a new decade.
Founded in 2011, Talespinner was the first professional children’s theatre of its kind in NEO, dedicated to developing and producing highly imaginative, original, and interactive works from local artists designed to empower, encourage and educate children.
After a somewhat tumultuous year navigating COVID, Talespinner’s current Executive Director, Ara G. Beal, led the organization’s internal efforts to rebuild, enhance and strengthen the company. Along with a newly appointed Board that has been engaged in strategic planning over the past few months, the organization is now poised to serve its community better than ever before.
“Talespinner is such an important organization for the children and their families of Cleveland,” shared outgoing Executive Director Ara Beal. “The theatre community of Cleveland is vibrant, and I know Talespinner will be an important part of rebuilding that community post-COVID. Even though we have been limited in what programming we were able to offer these past two years, we’ve been very busy behind the scenes, and I’m glad to leave the organization stronger than it was two years ago.”
“We are grateful for the strength, leadership & perseverance Ara has given our organization over the past two years.” said newly appointed Board Chair Sandro Galindo. “We’re looking forward to our next chapter and re-engaging with the community and our supporters.”
This new leader will manage all aspects of Talespinner’s business and administrative operations through the Board of Directors, including marketing / communications, finance, and development. They will also oversee the vision and successful implementation of artistic and educational programming and community engagement goals.
